I've never had this happen before. One silver-toned earring is starting to turn pink. Several months ago, one decorative bead of a costume jewelry necklace turned pink. These are two separate manufacturers purchased a couple years apart. Any idea what causes this, or if it can be reversed?

Comments on What causes costume silver-toned jewelry to turn pink?
I think it’s the cheap metal underneath the silver plating showing through, it is very annoying I have had this happen with a few pieces of body jewelry that I bought online. Since I’m pretty sure its the outer coating wearing off I don’t thing it can be reversed, sorry
