A necklace, bracelet or set of earrings can bring the wow factor to a simple outfit. But manufactured designs don't always hold up. The purple isn't plum enough or the red rich enough to match a certain dress or blouse. Part of the appeal of making jewelry is personalizing the design, says Craig Pederson, manager of Aquarius Beads & Gifts in Sioux Falls.
